The indicator shows it is the normal position but now I think mine looks a lot higher than the one in the pics here. I am going to try to raise and lower it and then see what happens. I know that when I go above certain speed it still lowers itself and comes back to what it is when the speed is slow.

Thanks! This is great info! I'm not surprised Porsche put the bleeder valve in the most inconvenient place! If you have done a set of valve cover gaskets you know what I'm talking about.
