I decided I'm gonna go for it the price is right and I don't care about MB or Audi.
OTOH, one of the turbos just went on it today and he's having them both replaced under extended warranty that he's got (it's non transferable, but I don't care). So I'm gonna have fresh brakes, fresh turbos, fresh primary cats and primary O2 sensors... Sounds like a deal, I'm going to check it out and if nothing major pops up, I'm gonna bite the bullet.
Will post up some pics when I snap them, really excited about having a second p!g at home

Over here it only becomes non transferrable if it passes through a dealer, it remains in effect for a private sale.

I don't have a clue what it was, but it did not transfer over to me. Don't really care, I could probably build another TT from sratch just by using stuff I got in my garage ))
The urge to mod this one is big Even my wife said the TT sounds like a lexus hybrid compared to the TTS (she's used to her VERY loud cooper S w/ JCW kit and BASTUK exhaust) I'll just do the basics probably - secondary pipes, BMC air filters, APR BOVs and some mild tune.... Larger turbos, injectors ))))))
What really surprised me is the gas mileage improvement between a DFI TT and my TTS. Same route, same avg speed (~190kph) and the TT used about 20 liters less fuel over said 220km.
