We bought the truck in May and I hadn't had to put any oil in until a couple of weeks ago. The monitor showed it was a little low.

I put in about 1/2 quart. Now, intermittently, we get a high oil warning. It has about 5500 miles on it now.

I'm not about to drain all the oil to lower it by a quarter quart or so. Anyone know of any other options?

Use an air powered evacuator to suck it out from the top. That's how many dealers are doing oil changes these days.
