Default Brake caliper COLOR options CUSTOM FINISHING

Well guys it is that time of the year (actually one year) after purchasing my second Cayenne Turbo that I have now decided to change the color option on my brake calipers again.

I've always done custom brake finishes on my Porsche cars and so I'm going to do something a little more bold this time.

What are your thoughts? The attached photo is the color we are working on right now.

It looks a bit like the 918 Spyder caliper color...

That photo was taken off the show-room floor, the brake calipers are finished as of right this minute but I'm waiting to get some better photos once I have a few minutes later today but i will certainly post the photos for all to see! Kinda "risky" but certainly something you don't see every day!

Thanks for your feedback! Keep posted for photos!

Bro, we've been refinishing brake calipers for over 10-years....

This is going on one of the shop cars, a set like this would run $160 per each caliper, stripped, painted, decal applied, clear coated and hard bake finished.

We'll post photos up if we get a chance today, if not it will be tomorrow!

Thanks for asking,

We've got to tell you that this color is EXTREMELY difficult to photograph.

Most of the photos we took appear to be a white/yellow, very light in color but in person it's very good. We took around 15-photos and this one came closest to the actual color of the caliper.

We photographed, in side the offices, the studio lighting, outside in the shade and outside in the direct sunlight. We ended up going with the studio lighting FYI.

Let us know what you think,

BTW: Installation will take place tomorrow!

That's great man. Is that the "acid green" from the 918 or the same green found on the hybrids or are they the same?

Yes, we color digital copied an actual caliper in order to get the color, it was a better match over color code. Tomorrow we will get it on the vehicle, it will have more kick once we have it on there.

Stay tuned!

Beautiful work. What is the turnaround for these? I'd love to do this, but I can't see my daily driver sitting on blocks for 2 weeks while I wait.

We have the paint formulated at this time so that part is ready, we can flip a set in one week. If you want a rush service you can have one for $50/ea. more and that will get them turned in 2-3 days once we have them.

We refinished the rotors on this project and so we will be putting it all together later today, if we have time we will photo them right after.

Thanks,

OK guys so the project 958 Turbo is done.....

The Calipers installed, but we went ahead and polished and clear coated the rotors just to clean it up "while we were in there".....

Go ahead and post that feedback!!!!
