My guess would be, this is where they may introduce the manual transmission - the six will need it.........

Yes, but the 924 was a sports car and this is an SUV, so, shouldn't be a big problem.

its true.... AUDI 3.2 V6 in manual or DSG (twin clutch semi auto) 250 BHP and 0-62 9.5 seconds... may not come to all markets... BUT the engine bay will also accomodate the V10 from the murciolargo with 650 BPH --- to slot in above the TT.. would make the TT look like a snail....

Imagine that 3.2 hauling a 5700lb SUV and a boat (what's the tow rating??); Porsche you say?? They can call it Qualude... or All wheel drive Prozac....

The VW Touareg sister model has already been tested by the magazines in Germany, and they found its base V6 too weak for the weight of the car. Because they had to keep revving it, it wasn't all that economical either. The Porsche V6 will probably have more power, but I doubt it will have enough torque to move that heavy thing around quickly. I am much more in favor of a sporty turbo diesel, even though that would not be the entry level model that Porsche is probably seeking in order to keep production volume up in Leipzig.
