Center console trim cover scratches
On my Cayenne turbo, the trim cover is showing signs of wear (the one that goes from under the stereo to the armrest area and goes around the gear selector ****).
Besides buying a new one, are there any other options to remove scuffs and scratches?
Thanks

It is not the aluminum piece but the long rectangular piece. My car has a black interior and not sure if a black sharpie will work. I thought about sanding it down with a very fine sandpaper to smooth it out but not sure if it will make it any better.

I don't see how sanding could help a scratch. I picture something that needs to be filled. Maybe post a pic.
I'd find an inconspicuous spot and try the Sharpie in a small spot, and I'm not joking, but black shoe polish that you buff.
You can also post in the concours forum. Those guys are all **** retentive and make just about anything look shiny and new.
