Exclamation type pressure sensor issues

i have an 04 cayenne s with the tyre pressure sensor monitors. and seem to be having some problems with it......

1. very frequently get a "system not active, workshop" message with a glowing "!" light and then the monitors are down

2. the menu on the indash console disappears and no longer shows the options for the tyre pressure settings.

anyone have these issues? if so, any recommendations on how they get fixed? i have taken it to the dealer and have had a rental longer than my cayenne.! very frustrating......

otherwise, this car is amazing.

I empathize with you! I'm in a similar boat, the Dealer has had my car since July 28, for an entry and drive problem.

What has the dealer told you they are doing? Mine has beeen very communicative..they're waiting on parts from Germany..and think they have the fix. I'm not so sure, but we'll see.

On mine they are replacing the instrument cluster, and driver's door controls.

they have already put in 2 new computers into that car. i dont know if it is really an instrument cluster issue or just some basic misengineering. that is why i wanted to see if anyone else was having the same issues with the tyre pressure sensors.

you have quite the porsche collection, this one is my first....

I don't think it's mis-engineering, more like "no computer program is ever fully debugged".

They treat me well, so I will live through the first year problems.

try this, disconnect the battery and reconnect and see if the problem goes away.
