After waiting for the Nokians to get off back order, then letting them age in my garage for a couple of months, I got around to getting them mounted last weekend.

I haven't done much driving on them yet, but initially they ride very well. I'll be putting about 600 miles on them this weekend, and can report back then.

Any other updates from those who purchased the Nokian 21s from Tiresbyweb?
I will be ordering another set soon... to get ready for next Spring.
Thanks in advance.

I mounted a set in May of this past year and finally swapped them out for winter rubber on Thanksgiving weekend. They have a tread wear indicators that show 6+ mm (out of 8mm) left on all four tires - so they appear to be wearing a lot better than the Conti's I had before (they would be over half gone in one season). I was getting a little vibration before I took them off, but they will get re-balanced before I re-mount them in the spring. Handling felt as good as the Conti's and they were excellent in the wet (large water channels). So far, I am very happy with the purchase (especially considering the price).

I've got close to 4k miles on mine and no complaints.
I see no noticeable wear yet, although I have not done a measurement. The Michelins on the other hand were noticeably worn at the same distance.

To my ears there is less road noise than the Michelins.
I have seen no sacrifice in handling either, granted this is on a commuter, not a track toy, but I still tackle on ramps at the same speed as before.

For my money, I will be purchasing the Nokians again.

My Contis are wearing at an incredible rate, too. I will be lucky to get 12k miles out of the rears. The Nokians sound great and I really appreciate the feedback about driving in the wet. Living in Seattle, you had better have good tires for the wet!

Where did you all purchase the Nokians?

Aloha,
TomF

Thank you all for the reviews, I will be buying a set in the next few weeks for my wife's cayenne gts the continentals are almost double the price so this is a no brainier.

Thanks again,
Saadi

Default Good luck finding the Nokians

Tires by Web is on backorder, says could be another 6+ weeks until they get them as they are still in Europe, salesman could offer no guarantee that they would even have them by then so I could have to wait months.

Does anyone know of another source to get these Nokian tires in the US? I want to avoid a knockoff tire like Lexani. If not I might just shop for some 20" rims instead of 21".

Thumbs up Good price for these-Michelin 295 35R 21 107Y N1 tires-

I have a palate of Michelin 295 35R 21 107Y N1 tires for sale and I can ship to you in the US only for $400 a tire...if interested please email me at jon.foster15@gmail.com. So for a set of 4 it would be $1600 shipped anywhere in the US.

Anyone have any long-term insights on these? New Cayenne owner here.

Having a few items addressed in the shop and they recommended new front tires. The Michelins seem to get the highest praise for performance, but I am using my GTS as an appliance/tow-vehicle so I am more concerned with longevity. Should I replace all 4 or can I get away with just the fronts?

These Nokian's seem to be the cheapest out there and last for longer than the Michelins. Any further insight/advice would be appreciated!

I have had mine for 8 months or so. Really like them. Good handling and the wear looks great so far. My only pick is they are a touch louder than Michelins. I'd but them again in a heartbeat

I have had them for over 14 months and they are wearing out at a much slower rate than my Continentals. I would be ready to replace the continentals by 18 months on average and I think at the current wear rate they should last me another year and a half. The longevity of the Nokian's and they were less than $1000 delivered is a no brainier in my book. I will buy them again without hesitation.

I was rotating the Nokians on my 08 GTS last night and found this on the inside of the left rear. Yikes! Fortunately I had an extra used tire I could mount this morning while I order a new set. This is after 2 and a half years and about 30k miles. The other tires looked ok - but all had additional wear on the inside shoulder. Despite this, I like the Nokians and will probably get another set.

Is this normal wear on a Cayenne?

On my 911 it always wears out the insides to a point where the tire looks great from the outside but the inside is completely worn. Are the SUVs the same?
