Default Sunglass Storage Compartment Clip

Just wondering if anybody else had the miniature black plastic button disintegrate while opening the sunglass case on the overhead console.

Dealer wants $25. I could probably CNC machine it out of billet aluminum for less than that...

Tried gluing the small tabs back on with cyanoacrylate glue and it won't keep together

I will pay $25 for that stupid clip!! My dealer says it isn't orderable separately from the $250 sunglasses holder assembly. PLEASE share the part number!

(Dang near put me over the edge to buy a 3D printer.. for only $25 I'll go that way instead)

Your dealer is telling you an untruth.

Part number for the clip is 955552318016N3

Sonnen has them for $19.63

Mine still closes. I just stick my finger in there to release it.

I do not recommend sticking any body parts inside there. This is what happened last Friday....

Mine failed, too. I somehow managed to jam it closed and haven't used it since.

What is the solution, apart from losing a digit or two?

Mine has popped off a couple of times but I have been able to reattach so far. Just don't push on it too hard or it will pop off again. Porsche has always had problems with rubber and plastic parts. How many seals need replacing on my 914 in the day? Bunch. Already replaced headlamp seals on cayenne twice.
