Default Chassis Failure

2009 GTS

Strange thing happened to me today. I started the car and the Chassis Failure warning showed on the dash. I noticed the lights on the center console that control the Chassis were all off. The car began to lower itself as I sat in it. I paused for 30 seconds. Not sure what to do, I shut the car off without moving it and removed the key. Waited for 10 seconds, started the car all was normal.

Is this an indication of something I should take care of, or is this like the PCM rebooting, sometimes it happens....

Since this happened to me today, I put an additional 50 miles on the car and started it two more times.

I find low batteries can do all sorts of things. Also bad electrical connections to the battery and or grounds to the vehicle.

How old is your battery?

When my battery died and then was recharged I got the chassis failure. It cleared after the battery was replaced and has never come back.
