Rear View Mirror Fallen Off - How to fix?
Hi guys,
I have a 2004 Cayenne S (Auto wiper sensor, manual head-lights) and the rear view mirror has fallen off the windscreen (after being left outside in the Australian sun all day).
The adhesive parted the windscreen neatly and left (on the windscreen) the square black bit that the rain sensor sits in and the mirror is glued to, so I washed, de-greased and re-glued with Locktite Windscreen Mirror adhesive (as per instructions) - all seemed great.
The mirror remained in situ for about 3 days, then fell off again.
Any ideas how to fix this? Is there a special Porsche glue thats needed? If so part number?
The local independent is saying it needs a new mirror, but at close to $300 I was left a little flabbergasted to say the least!!!
I can take some photos of it as is if that would help.
Any thoughts or words of wisdom?
Thanks
Jon
