Default Headlight film?

Anyone have experience with headlight film? My '05 CTT will be sitting outside during the day (in Houston, TX) thus I'm concerned about fading/hazing of the headlights. Has anyone had any experience with headlight film, particularly some with any UV protection to prevent headlight damage from the sun?

The headlight films have UV inhibitors to keep them from hazing/yellowing too. I pulled off some 4-year old film and there was a ring of hazing not covered by the film. Get your shop to do the headlamps off the car for a wrap around the edges.

Good call on wrapping the edges. What kind of film did you use?

When I replaced the old film I got a precut pattern film from Headlight Armor, really thick stuff compared to the clear film protection my shop used for the partial hood and fenders. One headlight came out a bit wavy so will do them over for the headlight wrap with their Suntek.

For those LaminX films, do you need to remove the headlights?

You do not. It does however make it a bit easier to apply it though.
