So that would be a drive by wire module or throttle position sensor?

Mine was not spotless but relatively clean. I was hoping to find a mess. Ooh well.

My 6 cylinder has done that since I have owned it, for about 30k miles now. Only when cold for about 2-2.5 minutes and only at idle, if you were to step on the gas while it's doing that it goes away and runs fine. Has never popped a code and Porsche could find nothing wrong with it. Just one of those weird little things.

For the love of god I hope someone will find the answer to this - seems to be back so there goes the injector cleaning theory.

The problem still persists on the initial start up of the car after been parked over night / prolonged lengths of time.

It's a small problem but makes you feel like the cars a piece of crap and I dread it starting it in a morning, and honestly makes me like the car less each day. I had a 2003 BMW prior and it was bullet proof and had double the mileage.

Very disappointed

Since nobody did what I suggested, let me suggest something else everybody will ignore. Try an Italian tuneup.

Dryadsdad I've tried carlube and Redex as bg isn't available off the shelf in the United Kingdom. Initially I saw an improvement but could of been in my head.

Oh. Can't you get it at all?

I guess speed cameras put paid to an Italian tuneup.

Deffo if you get over 30mph then you've done well. Suspension components don't last very long either with our roads crumbled to hell haha

An injector could also stick open and give the same symptoms. Check your oil level and see if it has increased, that could mean fuel dilution. If its higher see if you can smell gas in it. Best to check if youre running rich, but need piwis for that.

Wouldn't an injector stuck open throw a code?

Not necessarily. Depends how it responds to the pulses from the dme-the dme might not realise its stuck, and it might not see it as rich enough to throw a code for that either.
On porsches and especially rovers , ive seen plenty of times where i wondered how no codes get thrown. Like a vehicle stalling on the highway from a bad crank sensor-the damn thing dies on the highway, but do the vehicle modules care? It wasnt a 'fault', the car just thought it was supposed to stop running. A maf not reading any air flow wont throw a code half the time, it just sees no air, so why bother trying to run the engine? Codes are generated from electrical feedback, so as long as there is no short to ground, battery, open cicuit, high resistance , etc, the modules think they are working right.
