Default Cleaning a spill on front seat

Something horrible, which I won't mention, was spilled on my passenger seat. The problem is I have no idea how much. So I don't know if I just have to clean the leather, or what can I do about stuff leaking through the perforations? Any suggestions? Thanks

Tony

Sweet, so the perforations will allow the stuff to come back out too? That's what I was worried about. Should I use some mild soap and a bunch of water, saturate the area, and wetvac it out or will that kill the heated seats? Thanks for the quick reply :-)

Tony

P.s. don't think a lot of "Rednecks" drive Porsches, I'm sure you're fine :-)

I don't know if I would soak it with water. On the boat, I use a 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle to clean everything. The vinegar smell will not last forever, kills better than bleach. No one knows who you are, tell us what was spilled. Is it a bodily fluid?

Oh, I'm not worried about anonymity. I just didn't want to disgust you guys. I gave an elderly relative with incontinence issues a ride to the doctor and it was way worse than I thought. The problem is they were all wet and the seat was damp and smelly on top, but what soaked into the foam. Will it smell every time I turn on the seat warmer? I guess no good deed goes unpunished.

My favorite one is the blown Chevy engined 928? with the stickers proclaiming it has a Chevy engine. Because sure Porsche's are cool but when's the last time you saw a Chevy :-)

You could consider taking the car to an auto upholstery to replace the foam?

I would make the effort to go to a upholstery shop quickly and pull the leather slip cover off and do from there.

i was able to get a very soaking wet[water] towel on a similar accident within a few minutes then put a dry towel with a little weight on it for a day .although it did not have heated seats i never smelled anything bad and during the summer with the windows up it never stunk.put the heated seats on and if it stinks get it replaced.i think the trick WAS to get clean water on it asap and dilute then soak it up.
