Iphone Texting Tone While Driving
I have a 2013 CD and connect my ATT iphone 4S via bluetooth running the newest version of the apple software to the PCM. I have gone into the PCM settings and checked allow text tone. I do not hear a text tone unless I am on a cell phone call when someone actually texts me , and then I hear the tone. I was also given a 2014 panamera loaner and had the same problem. This problem has been going on since I purchased the car last March.
Has anyone else solved this problem. My service advisor could not figure the problem out.

The bluetooth PCM in my 09 only allows phone calls, nothing else. I have to jack the AUX to hear music on my Google phone, and use the iPhone adapter for music and all other sounds.

If your 09 PCM 3 has the option "Preparation for mobile phone" you can send and receive texts from the PCM unit itself.
