Default 08 CTT Thoughts?

Hey Guys,

I frequent the 993 forum but am looking seriously at 08 TT as a new daily driver. Wouldn't mind some input from you guys regarding this car. Thanks in advance!

I tried to negotiate with Sunset on the '06 CTT but they wouldn't come to reality with a best case offer of $34k. I also saw this car when I was there but it only had a few months left on the CPO warranty. Did they renew it? As a data point I got an '08 CTT 71k miles with the same wheels but no PDCC or CPO a few weeks ago for $31k. If the CPO is renewed I'd say $36 to $37 is a good target for this car.

You think 22K miles, a CPO, and PDCC is only worth 5-6K? I think the 22K miles is worth $7-8K at least by itself.

I too have considered both cars. The '06 is really nice, but they are way off on price. The Seattle-Portland areas get premiums for just about any Porsche and I have found that it is much better to search elsewhere in the country for one. As a comparison, a similarly-equipped, non CPO car with a less desirable color and 20k more miles just sold for $44k nearby. Ouch!

The '08 looks really nice and if it was one of the interior colors we are looking for, we would have snapped it up already!

Best of luck with your search!

Cheers,
TomF

Mark, if you do buy it, let me know if you would want some secondary bypass pipes, rear cargo liner, roof rack and stainless steel dead foot cover. These items do not work on my diesel! :-)

I'm no expert on pricing these cars but my impression is that the car seems to be priced fairly.

Thanks for the offer pdxjim. You may be hearing from me.

I didn't mean to give the impression that this car is overpriced. The '06 TTS is high considering the market right now as there are a lot available in very decent shape.

Best of luck with your search!

Deposit placed.

Only thing the car is missing are roof bars (this is a must). Dealer is being a little stingy on just throwing things in and parts dept closed today. What's the cost for the bars?

The rails run $660 from Suncoast.

What does everyone use for the crossbars? I'd like to get a set that looks better than my Yakimas.

The Roof Rails are not compatible with the Pano Roof.

I'm thinking the $42 is a bit high.

I like the Rear Air Conditioning.
Roof i couldn't care either way. I kinda like the black alcantara headliner.
20" wheels are great.
Mileage is good.
Not a ton of options it looks like. But for $35k it might be a fair deal from a Porsche Dealer and with a warranty.
Personally if i saw that car locally and in order for me to sleep at night i'd like to pay $30k. But that price might not happen for another year or so.

Well the car has attachment points for the rails, so there must be some that work!
