Default TPMS Question

I'm trying to decide if I should get new TPMS sensors or not. As the car is new to me I don't know if they are the factory originals or were replaced at the last tire swap by the prior owner. My question is do the sensors have a date stamp on them?

The dealer can tell the battery life percentage using their PIWIS.

The TPMS sensors do have a date stamp on each one but they do not activate until they detect pressure so that they can sit on the shelf before install without running down battery life.

I'll ask the body shop to check them - they should have a PIWIS as they do a ton of Porsche work and if not they can walk next door to Sunset and use theirs.
