Agency Power Diverter Valves
Has anyone done this mod on their CTT yet? It sounds like a great way to augment putting boost where it needs to go.
They are less than $300 for the pair so it seemed like a cheap mod but I just wonder if it really matters?
Thoughts? I have already ordered the Cat ByPass from FabSpeed!
My wife thought that this Suv would be cheaper than modding the Cayman! LoL

I installed these on my '05 CTT this past Saturday. They're nice replacements for the cheap plastic Bosch OEM valves.
The driver's side valve is a PITA to install, though. If you don't have a good set of hose clamp pliers, it's a rough job.
Also, expect some oil to dump out of the lower intercooler pipe!
Took me about an hour to do them with the truck on my lift. Didn't really notice any difference with them, except peace of mind knowing they won't leak when I up the boost pressure shortly.

They are really for when you up the boost, the stock ones can't handle it if they are in good shape.
if have aftermarket air filters you might hear a quiet chatter when you lift off the gas sometimes, this is because of worn diverter valves and is bad for the turbo. I fitted aftermarket valves recently, as previously stated they won't really start working for me until I have the car remapped.
If you do choose to change them do yourself a favor and remove the drivers side air box first, none of the how-to's I found said to do this and I don't know why, with the airbox removed you can easily remove the entire boost pipe including the diverter valve from the turbo, then you just change out the valve and put everything back.
I think I could do it in an hour on the floor

When I replaced my stock diverters with Agency ones I noticed that my car built boost sooner. My stock diverters were probably shot though.
The job is fairly easy. Remove the skid plate, front wheels, fender skirts and driver side lower pressure hose and everything is easy to get to. A pair of cable hose-clamp pliers will make your life a lot easier.

Thanks for the comments, I believe I will do this immediately because of the mileage on my new PiG.
I will try and make note of any differences I find when doing this.
Any other parts or hoses worth changing when I'm in there?

I've read other members putting in an IPD Plenum at the same time they do the diverter valves.

A buddy had a set of valves and IPD that he was no longer using, his CTT got totaled before he got to installing them. Long story short, I was offered them.
Here are some shots of the valves and IPD:
Took the front wheels off to as to be able to get at the diverter valves:
Replaced the diverter valves:
IPD Plenum:
OEM Part:
Removed and ready for install:

I know I need new pads and rotors, I was thinking about the Yellow Option as I felt some fade on my brakes while using them hard on my local hills. Maybe I will mod my brakes, or at least see what a good stock setup feels like.
I also discovered FabSpeed is in my backyard
