Default Cost to CPO

Looking for some examples of the cost to CPO a Cayenne. I have a 2011 Cayenne S that I want to buy out of lease and get a CPO. Can you guys give me some actual prices paid for this?

Cost for the CPO inspection is 2500-3000 which is well worth it if you expect to keep the Cayenne

So $3500 is high. I don't plan to keep it past the CPO term.

IMO, isn't CPO just another reason for a dealer to make more money...?

Yes and no. The cost of the CPO inspection is set by Porsche and it is a gamble but much better than an after market warranty as there is little hassle and it is accepted at any Porsche dealer. One major repair such as coolant pipes, A/C etc and you have recovered your costs.

Are you saying if I pay for a CPO and it passes, I get a new warranty on my 2009 with 47,000 mi on it? The base factory warranty has expired for me based on time

Looking at all of this right now… searching for a "gently" used 2013 Diesel. Like everything, different dealers quote different numbers… but $2500 seems average. Had one tell me $2999, and then bargained it down to $2000.

Basically, if there is any factory warranty left, it extends to a new total of 6 years from in-service date (rather than the orig 4) or 100,000 miles

If the factory warranty is expired, then it's 2 years from date of purchase, and the 100,000 mile total still stands.

In terms of what's covered, they say it is "the same" as the original warranty - which if you read the fine print actually has a fair amount of exclusions.

Hope that helps

The CPO doesn't have a 'fair amount of exclusions'. It is exactly as a new car bumper to bumper warranty. The only exclusions are maintenance items (brakes, tires, etc).

I am looking at a bit of information on something that I am sure I will catch hell for but here goes. If I was to sell my 2014 CD with wth premium plus package! Bose, heated rear seats and a few other options with only 1500 miles (crazy I know!) what would a dealer pay me for that? I assume it would pretty valuable as a CPO. Thoughts?

I bought my nephew's 09 S (off-lease) last summer and paid CAD $3k for the 2yr CPO warranty, expiring in 2015.
Interestingly, the closer local dealer wanted $3500...hmm

Anyhow, they replaced the starter recently (probably drowned because of T-stat gasket failure previously), along some other lesser electrical issues. They had it for 12 weeks over the Xmas holidays...and I had their new courtesy Cayenne

BTW, I heard a rumor that its possible to buy a further 2 yr extension after my 2yr CPO expires. Does anyone know if this happens to be true?
