My 08 turbo did exactly what you describe a couple times yesterday in the frigid temps. No CEL though. I agree that the symptoms were unlike any misfire I felt before (in any other vehicle.) It wouldn't do it from a stop, but after a step down I would feel it.

jerking/shuttering on takeoff
Our 04 CTT had similar but sporatic symptoms a few weeks ago.No codes.Would drive fine for days and then do it again.Turned out to be (1) coil.Replaced that one(and spark plug) and runs great.(ordered complete set of coils and plugs from ECS just for good measure)
