Default Battery

So after 9 1/2 years my original battery did not like the -15F this morning. It started after a couple tryes, but I had to jump it after work. I just put in an interstate MTP49 and we are back in business. It takes less then 30 min to swap it.

I'm on my 2nd replacement (3rd total).... Just changed it last night. I guess the TX heat takes its toll on them.

They say it's the heat that kills them, but you don't know about it until it gets cold.

I think I'm on my 4th battery in the P!g. Come to think of it, my 911 also eats batteries. They only seem to last for a couple of years.

Just replaced mine again under warranty from Autozone, Duralast Gold battery. This is the third battery in the 06S and last one was a little over two years old. I was getting some strange codes and voltage at the battery was 11.8 volts after sitting for a week. Autozone was great about it and we swapped it out no questions asked.

Did they run the test to see if alternator is working properly?

They were unequipped to run a test on the Alternator so they did not test. The idiot gage on the dash seems to show proper voltage but will need to have it tested if any issues arise. So far, battery is working fine and starts up quick as normal, on 54k on car.
