Diverter Valves

Can you see them from somewhere without taking anything apart to tell if they have been upgraded ?
Im planning an Upsolute tune and if I need the valves im kinda split decided on Forge or Agency
Ive read alot but still cant decide so any input would be appreciated as to which ones to get (I dont want loud honking sounds if any of them are known for it)

Nope. Both fender liners have to come out or at the very least the front of the liners have to be moved aside. PITA of a job. Not a hard job just a PAIN! As for the valves I went with EVOMS DV18s. Never tried any Agency stuff but lots of good scuttlebutt about them. As for Forge I had a terrible issue with them way back when I had my B5 S4 and I cannot recommend.

Beautiful cnc machined aluminum pieces in the Forge, but I couldn't keep up with the O-ring replacements. Forge sent me some lube and told me that the valve needs it on occasion. This was on an '07 mk.5 gti with APR tune. On this car the r+r work was easy and under the engine....but replaced it with an upgraded OE unit. 75,000 miles on the new valve, trouble free.

If your going to do a tune aftermarket diverter valves are a must have upgrade. You may even consider an IPD plenum. My stock plastic plenum split in half at the plastic weld seam.
