Looking for Winter wheels/snows...'10 CGTS
I have decided to buy a set of winter wheels/tires for my wife's '10 CGTS. After 3 years of her complaining about summer tires in winter use, I need to step up and buy some snow tires/wheels...
Attached are the pix of the car and I am looking for an economical solution.
Would 18" wheels fit on this car? I am thinking about going with narrower tires but stay as close to the height as possible.
Any advice here would be appreciated. Or if someone has a set of wheels that they want to sell (I don't care about cosmetic condition since they will be for winter use anyhow...)
TIA!

You can get a set of 18" Victor Zehn's with 255/55-18 or 265/60-18's tires. I ran them on my GTS for offroad use. The significant drop in weight also improved gas mileage. I had 18X9.5, which I think is too wide, but Victor also offers a 18X8. Not sure of the fit with the latter, but 9.5" was to wide for the 255's.

Sport Edition TX8 18x8 with 255/55 Michelin Latitude Alpins. About $1,700 from Tire Rack with the 433 MHz Tire Pressure Sensors.

Don't know about your area, but around here there are plenty on Craigslist. Or just go with a good all-season tire for year-round use. With today's great tires there's no reason not to.

Yes, the factory 18's will fit the Cayenne with the big red calipers. However, keep in mind that due to the reduced clearance between the caliper and the inner side of the rim, there's a much higher chance that accumulated snow & ice may interfere with the calipers.

Thank you folks!
I will look for a set of used 18" Porsche wheels (ebay/Craiglist, and I may put a WTB in the classified), may add a 5-10mm spacer for caliper clearance, and get some snows for her...peace of mind!

I have a set of 18" Cayenne Turbo wheels from a 2006 CTT I would be willing to sell. They are in excellent condition with Pirelli Scorpion N-rated Snow/Ice/All-Season tires. The tires have a lot of tread left -- I'd have to measure for depth, but I think only around 5k miles of wear.
I'm in Houston (no snow or offroad) and have already bought a set of 20" Sport Technos to replace these. Let me know if interested.

i was really trying to find some 19 inch new style turbo II knock offs, but the wheels companies don't seem too interested in doing anything other than the 21 plus sizes

Mission accomplished...
Well...thank you for all the advice...
AND thanks to a fellow RL'er I was able to get a set of mint factory Cayenne Turbo 18" wheels, and I bought a set of Blizzaks and the car is good to go for snow/ice/skiing...
Before 295/35X21 (29.12" height) after 255/55X18 (29.04" height)
