Default Cayenne headlights.

So it seems that the previous owner to my cayenne turbo had a bad experience with the headlight removal steps.

The removal bolt has snapped away, and a lot of the plastic cut away to reveal the bottom cog..

I used a 19mm socket to turn it and got the headlight out..

HOWEVER

I cannot get the cog / gear to lock my headlight BACK into place.

Has any one experienced this with the part missing? And how the hell did you lock it back in?

One last question, replacing the headlight plate. Is this a DIY or a dealer job?

Regards Bryn

You have to purchase the headlight tray, not too expensive, $50 or so I think.

You have to remove the bumper to remove it.

You will need an extension bit as well to screw it out.

I have done it and the hardest part is the bumper, and it is not that hard.
