Hey guys, I've noticed that my 2010 Cayenne sounds the ALARM (not 2 beeps when locking) when I lock it occasionally. It doesn't happen every day, but it's happening often enough for it to be a nuisance. Especially coming home late when everyone is asleep
I have the normal key, no proximity feature.
I know the panic button is on the side of the key, but I am not trying to press it when locking. I doubt I'm hitting it by accident all these times...

I want to take it to the dealer but don't want to pay a stupid diagnostic fee if they find nothing.

Same thing with both fobs, no idea why.

Yea it happens with both of my keys too.
I haven't really found a pattern. Night or day. Cold or hot temps. Sometimes it will happen a whole bunch of times in a row and then not for days at a time.

Mine did this - it was a problem with the door latch mechanism in one of the doors. Something to check: when you open your door, do the white and red lights on the bottom and back of the door edges go on? Mine had this problem - alarm would randomly go off, sometimes even when I'd unlock the car, get into it, and before I'd put the key in the ignition the alarm would go off; replacing the faulty door latch mechanism in the door stopped this problem.
