Tie downs for roof loads?

I bought lumber at Lowe's, loaded it onto the roof rack and only then noticed the lack of tie off points. A quick trip back inside to buy 4 each of eye bolts (the tie points), elevator bolts (which fit into the roof rack slot), flat washers (to fit atop the slot), hex coupling nuts (to fit between the elevator bolts and the eye bolts). A Mickey Mouse set up to be sure, but none the less, it worked.

you could always install the emergency tow eyes on the front and rear bumpers. The eyes themselves are located in the spare tire area. Tie off to them. They screw in once you remove the respective locations plastic bumper trim.
