Default changing Cayenne gear shift lever

Friend has just ordered this for her 2013 Cayenne Diesel:

Any one know how to take old one off and put the lovely aluminium sculpture one?

Thanks.

1) twist the bottom barrel to unlock it
2) pull the button outward (towards the PCM)
3) lift the **** off while holding the button out.

Reverse for putting the new one on.

Well I broke mine when I tried before having the instructions...

Just don't try to force it. It should slide on and off with no resistance.

we tried this last night ..

the button (the one which you push to move from Park) was out when the T Equipment lever arrived.

there was also a red plastic rod inserted .. this is to ensure that the button stays out.

unfortunately, my friend pushed the button in while fiddling with her new toy.

we could fit the T Equipment lever but the button would not pop out, and as a result, the gear shift won't move from "Park".

she's off to a Porsche dealer today to get them to get the button out.

we tried to use the red plastic rod to move the button out to no avail.

SO, do NOT push the button in before you install it!!!!
