Happy 4th of July! This past Monday, July 1, 2013, I became the owner of a nice 2010 Cayenne S, silver/black, a ton of options including towing package (the reason it was on my list). It has 29,957 miles, about 6 months of original factory warranty left plus 2 more years of CPO. I purchased it through my local dealer, Brumos Porsche. Since I am on the "Frequent Buyer Plan" there, I got a nice deal.

Welcome to the Cayenne club AKA P!g Pen!

Thanks for the welcome gang! Sorry to say that Big Red was a casualty of the "moving on" process. But he went to a VERY good home - Gator996 bought my 996 a few weeks ago, so it isn't gone. In fact you will probably see a whole lot more of it (and his great avatars) as he begins an intense detailing project for Big Red and shares it on the 996 Forum.
So, in a sense, even though I just bought the P!g S, I'm still sort of a 'tweener' for now. Not certain what my next Porsche sports car will be. I really want to have a more dedicated track car - something I will tow to and from the track, and yet is still marginally streetable. Big Red was waaay tooo nice to tear up for that project.
The P!g S is to tow my boat (and future track car). Many of you 996'ers have seen pictures of the boat over the years on the 996 Forum. I will post another picture here for the P!g Pen folks who have steered clear of the looney bin 996 crowd (for which my heart still remains - at least for now - LOL! - maybe I'll buy Fernando's cabriolet track car... hmmmm LOL!!)

And a couple pictures of my first mod - one before and one after.
Had these on the shelf forever - they did not look good on the 911's (and are a lot heavier than the aluminum full caps that come on the 996 Sport Classic II wheels), but were pretty cool on the 356SC coupe Outlaw I built about 10 years ago.
Porsche part number PNA 705 001 99.

Only 4 days since new-to-me and already at my first car show: Cars and Coffee in Jacksonville, FL.
Strangely I was the only Cayenne in attendance. But then there was only one McLaren 12c, and only one Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer, so exclusivity is awesome!

Completed the second mod to my P!g S. Two pix below - before, then after. Removed the original rear Cayenne S script and replaced with the 2012-14 P O R S C H E script and the smaller and shinier Cayenne S scripts.
I like it.
And now folks don't ask anymore, "What is a Donzi Cayenne S." LOL!
