Default CTT Engine Smell

I have a 2008 Cayenne Turbo with roughly 60k miles. The vehicle runs great but I always get a hot whiff of something everytime I park and open the driver's side door. I can also smell this in the engine compartment (though it is still stronger on the driver's side). I believe it smells like used motor oil - my wife describes it as an "old car smell."

The dealer has looked it over and did repair a coolant leak a couple of months back. They found no other issues.

I would appreciate anyone's insight or thoughts to resolve this issue.

Any way to determine if that is the issue without pulling them out?

I've read here that oil (from crankcase ventilation) collecting in the aftercooler tubes is sometimes an issue and that they need periodic cleaning. I haven't had it done and don't know how its done.
