Default 2014 GTS order

Hey all. Havent been around much but been on rennlist since 2004 when we purchased our first Porsche. A 2004 CS purchased in Oct 2003 . Still have it and drive it with 175K. Best car we ever had. Still enjoy driving it just as much now as when we got it nearly 10 years ago. We had plans to buy a Mercedes GL for more room. Test drove it . It was ok. No smile though. Figured we owed it to ourselves to drive the new Cayenne. Test drove the new CD , oh there's the smile. Couldnt even consider the GL after that. Drove the Audi's and BMW's. Owned a couple BMW cars but could never buy the X5... Followed up with the GTS test drive and chose that model... Just sold the 2008 C4S and have put a new Cayenne GTS on order. Probably won't be arriving until August so will be keeping the 2004 CS at least until then.

Anyway here is what we chose for a vehicle.

2014 Cayenne GTS
Mahogany Metallic
Umber interior
Olive wood interior package
trailer hitch
multi func heated steering wheel
panorama roof
heated front seats
porsche entry and drive
PCM and NAV
reversing camera
lane change assist
bose
sport chrono
satellite radio
auto dim rear view mirrors
light comfort package
extended led comfort light package

Very nice. Definitely would have ordered a GTS, but my spec was about $105k which was too rich for my blood. Plus the diesel really fits the vehicle well.

Bet you can't wait!

thanks everybody... yeah the sooner the better but hey still love to drive the 2004 CS... in fact just this weekend drove it 1000 miles from Merrimack NH to Middlebury Ct. on friday, back to Merrimack NH on saturday , then to Bar Harbor Maine, Portland Maine on sunday , and back to Merrimack this am... something to be said for a vehicle you can drive 176K miles in 10 years and still enjoy!

@Needsdecaf..... you just cant go wrong... model selection is just semantics

sorry about your traffic in the woodlands LOL... enjoyed my stay and plan to return next year.

Wow, 176K miles... that's great. You've really used it well!

That should be a very attractive color combination, and you have picked some nice options.

I agree with what you said re. model choice is just semantics: Each model does have its own set of strengths relative to the others, but they all share a basic design approach that I think makes them more rewarding to drive than many SUVs.

Congrats! We have a 2013 V6 which we love but I did glance at the GTS with just park assist and PDCC as options which would have squeezed in below $90k but that check was just a bit large this time. Maybe next time if times are good to us. Again, a big congrats.

Looks like a great build. I got my GTS last August and love it. I had an '08 GTS which was great but this car is much better all around.

nice- so glad to hear stories like yours. I see many high mileage cs online and it gives me hope that i will have mine for awhile- i too have a 04 cs but i only have 84000 on mine- love it ! was wondering if you had any if the common issues that many face?! Just wondering as i look forward to my next 50000!! I still have the original coolant lines. Congrats on the GTS- sounds nice and sure will enjoy.

This is my third Cayenne and I have not had any of the big issues like coolant pipes but I also have not put a lot of miles on any of them. My first CS was one of the first ones off the boat in '03 which I kept for 5 years but only about 45K miles. A few small problems but nothing major and all covered by warranty. My 2008 GTS was problem free but only had 30K after 4 years.
