I have Toyo Open Country A/T 18's on our 08 Cayenne. They ride very well and are quiet for a tire with a pretty aggressive tread, much quieter than the mostly worn Blizzaks that the vehicle came with. We drive our Cayenne off pavement often, and I wanted a tire that could handle rough scoria roads and mud, which the Toyos do. Snow performance is ok. I think winter tires would be better, but I would rather not have to buy an extra set of tires and wheels.

Damon@tirerack.com - thanks for the offer.

You and TireRack served me well when I purchased the OEM wheels with the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snows.

First I have to decide which tires to buy

I looked at the available tires for my 20's and without a doubt will be going with the DWS's when the need to switch arises. We will be taking the car on trips to regions where summers won't work and those are by far the best...unless the Pilot Sport All Season 3 comes out in that size in the meantime.

Thanks Needsdecaf.
I had the summer performance tires from the factory.
Had fun, but too many days where the weather changed suddenly on us.
