Default Air Suspension fault 1400 Code - back pressure retaining valve?

2006 CTTS
I have narrowed this down to the rear passenger corner. When I raise or lower the SUV the rear right corner stays high. I have a durametric and I looked at the values and it is measuring 153-156 while the front is showing 102-112. It doesn't look like it is releasing the pressure. I found one article mentioning how to diagnose if this is the case, but doesn't describe the part or how to fix it. I see lots of posts for the compressor - that appears to be working fine - just not on the rear corner.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

There is a pressure holding valve at the top of the strut. For the rear it's 95535873002
It's possible that valve is stuck.

Thanks for the reply. Is that a difficult repair? If it is stuck is it a matter of unsticking it or just replace the part?

Thanks!

I've never had to mess with the pressure holding valves before, but it looks relatively simple to me. I would pull the valve out (be sure you have the air suspension disabled) and see if you can tell what the problem is. A replacement is about $75, so not too crazy if nothing else.

Brilliant! Fixed it over the weekend - as soon as we pulled the air line on the valve and started to unscrew the valve it released the pressure.
Now for those who run into the problem - this was on the rear passenger side - you absolutely need a lift and you have to be able to get your arms contorted into a crazy position to reach the valve. The hose comes out with a 12mm wrench and then the valve takes a special tool. My brother had a tool that basically grabbed onto the valve (I think it is a tool that takes out stripped bolts) and was able to remove the valve. Once out, the other valve was easy to replace and it worked immediately.
Success!

Default p1400 - control position not adjustable

Hi Guys,

I am owner of Cayenne S 03'. From few days an error message pops-up on car display "Air suspension warrning". I connected it to the computer and it is shown as P1400 - control position not adjustable.

My observation are the following:
1.There is no problem with going for higher position (for example from normal to terrain).
2. There is no error while I am riding on terrain level and not exceeding a speed which is lowering the car. After exceeding this speed car is starting to go down and error pop-ups.
3. Error is shown only while lowering the car.
4. Front suspension is lowering without any problem, it applies only for rear.
5. When error pop-ups I can see that front suspension is much lower then rear.
6. It only only applies to front/rear relation. I can not see any difference between right/left.

Local workshop pointed it as a compressor problem, but in my opinion it is rather some kind of valve responsible for releasing the pressure then compressor, as I can not see problems with getting car higher. Just with going for lower position.

I will be very thankfull for your opinion as a specialists, as nearest Porsche dedicated workshop is like 300km from the place where I live.

Have the same issue on my 2004.

Release valve was stuck, would not let air into strut.
Took it out, filled With oil, heated it a lot With a gas flame so oil burned away. Filled it again With oil, WOILA!!! Open

hiii, looks like mine problem also matches with your car problem, as 2012 turbo my passenger side is low but the driver side is struck at high position always, it does not moves... We tried calibration, never worked & I don't see any fault, compressor turns on occasionally in intervals of 1-2 minutes.. my biggest concern is it that it is happening at both tyres of drive side... It could be more than release valve right...?
Thankyou
