Replacing one of my plug covers just now and noticed the engine torque stabilizing arm bushing is trashed on the body side. Replace it, or the arm as a unit? I have a feeling this is the goofy idle I'm feeling and have always felt.
New stabilizer arm (also called torque dampener or upper arm) is about $120 from Sonnen Porsche. Just found the same deterioration when I changed my coils and plugs. Arm was totally loose on the body side. Bushing on body side was totally cracked through and no longer centred. Bushing on engine side not much better. I have been experiencing some vibration under load at low revs. Maybe this arm has been causing this issue. Will post the result when I change my stabilizer arm out.
Here are a few pics:

the bushings are cracked ripped or torn, not the actual arms is what he meant. there will be more of a clunk than a squeak when you shift from drive to reverse and visa versa with foot on brake.
I notice when going over bumps offroad with the suspension raised, a rubbery creaking up front. I drive the Turbo some at the ranch while hunting. Really nothing major but high grass and some molehills and an occaisional small ravine crossing at SLOW speed using max height. The other day I heard the same creak while here in town on pavement.....actually just heard it now on bad pavement in Comfort setting.
I did my lower arms with upgraded Turbo S arms two months ago and immediately noticed a huge difference but all was not well. Over the course of the next week while driving I noticed a munching type of sound when going over speed bumps in parking lots.
I went ahead and then replaced the upper A arms as they were original at 71k miles; they were completely shot.
