I was wondering if anyone could assist in telling me where i might find a CD for my navigation. I just bought a 2003 Cayenne S on the weekend and the Navigation CD is missing.
It seems easy to find American or Europe CDs but i have been unable to locate one for Australia.
Thanks.
Adam

Hi Adam,
I've just tried to PM you but it says you can't/won't accept PM's?
I'm in North Sydney, wondered if we could catch up and try my cd in your car & visa versa. It would help big time with my diagnostics.
Thx
Jon

This seems to be a common problem. I bought an 04 Cayenne S last weekend and the CD was missing. Dealer isn't being helpful other than promising to look for it. Can anyone point me at an Oz map? Also I seem to have PCM3 according to the result I get from pressing the Main and Trip buttons together. Doesn't seem right to me as I thought PCM3 was way later than 04 and used DVD or HDD. Nav screen is still asking for a CD though. Any advice?

There is a PCM 3.0 software suite for the cd based nav.
Don't get it confused for the PCM 3 head unit that appears from 2009 onwards.
The dealer will charge you about $700 Ozzie dollars for a new nav cd.
The latest and last revision from Navteq was 2004.
Have you checked to see if there is a DVD drive under your seat?

OK, so Im not an expert on this but if your car only has a CD slot in the head unit I believe I have the ISO image you need. If you have a DVD under the drivers seat then I can be of no help!

So I got a call from the dealer last week saying that they had a CD for me as well as a spare key, both of which I had written into the sales contract. Ejected the CD when I went to drive away and discovered that it was a copy. Also had 2004 maps written on it.
They had downgraded my PCM software to make it compatible with that CD. Popped in my 2008 CD and it asked me if I wanted to update to the new version. Said yes and I'm back to where I was 3 weeks ago.
Good thing this forum exists otherwise I'd be driving around with maps that were extremely outdated instead of fairly outdated. Better check that my new spare key works I guess...
