Hey guys,
I'm new to the Cayenne world as I just bought a 2009 S today. I'm looking for aftermarket front and rear skid plates. Is there one that ya'll have installed and recommend over others?
Thanks in advance!
Chris

I know plates are very few and far between on the touareg, I assume even less so for the cayenne.
You may want to ask this company. Do not know if the touareg has the same mount points. They have full underbody, obv the bull bar and winch mount won't fit, but the link will take you to a gallery of theirs.

2-3 month waiting list.

The only OEM "Skid Plate" which is much more of a scuff guard can be seen here http://gallery.rennlist.com/cayennegallery/album15/aaf Mudman's gallery I believe. I think they cost as much as one of the touareg ones.

I can't remember if it is this one or another, but it has a hole for the oil change, however without a funnel it will splatter on the top of the guard.
This is an other plate for a touareg.

Here is a thread on the Antec from club touareg: http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f6...ion-74154.html
Seikel has lift struts too as well as a plate, that may be the best bet for x-fitting but it it is only engine, not front protection. If someone wants to buy an see if it fits, and if it doesnt I will take it for 50% off to install on my touareg
Most of these pieces are in the 750 to 1000 euro range.

Again, without knowing if this fits a cayenne, doesn't matter how good it may be

The description for the skid plate at Sun Coast says 07 and later. I'd be interested in an engine skid plate for my 06 if it offers real protection; i.e. heavy gauge enough to stand up to the embedded rocks we see a lot here. I'm not inferring heavy offroading, just insurance for the "OH S**T" rocks that are ubiquitous on our local unpaved roads when taking visitors to see the sights around Sedona. Has anyone got found and had experience with one?
