Hi everyone. I own a 2005 base Cayenne with a manual transmission and the flywheel along with pressure plate need to be replaced. I found non-OEM LUK manufactured clutch kit on the internet. Does anyone have any idea whether LUK can be trusted or has anyone used LUK manufactured Cayenne replacement parts?
Also, I could only find OEM flywheel, which costs quite a bit. Are there any other options? I live in southeastern europe and local porsche dealer is charging arm and a leg for these parts, so I will have to buy and ship these items from the States.
any information will be greatly appreciated.

Although I have no experience regarding the Cayenne - when the 964 C4 was released in 1989, they developed a reputation for self destructing flywheels. LUK were the replacements.
So the company has been making bits like this for a long time, and at least some of them were the official replacements for Porsche back then. I think I'd be happy to use their parts.
I didn't know there were manual Cayennes - I don't think we have them in the UK (at least, not ones at that age). Shame - would have liked manual!

Many thanks Dave. Actually there are manual cayennes in UK, too!
I've been quoted a price for a used flywheel from a UK junkyard. I'm just wary of buying a used flywheel without knowing more information regarding a vehicle it came out of.

It's gonna save 80% off the OEM new price and the labor where I live isn't that expensive. My mechanic's shop is charging me 170 bucks for total labor costs. Nonetheless, I'm leaning towards NOT buying a used one, just exploring options at this point.

LUK is a big company. They make millions of clutches. They make OEM equivalent replacements. It will not be a high performance clutch, but plenty enough for the V6. Big puss that it will be as smooth as the OEM, not as grabby and stuttering as many "upgrade" clutches.
