Interested in your feedback on 21" tires. Few choices on tire rack, any others you reccomend
I am very picky about noise and find the Pirelli's a bit noisy, have they improved?
Michilens are great but pricey, with low tread ware rating.
Your input appreciated.

When we bought our 2008 GTS in January of 2012, it had 28k miles with a nearly new set of Michelins on the rear and nearly worn out Continentals on the front. By 35k miles, we put new Michelins on the front. Road noise was greatly reduced. I'm really hoping they last longer than 15k miles though.

I just mounted Michelin Latitude Sports just to try something else. Have not driven them yet. I used to have Yokohama Advan Sports. They were great quiet tires but wore out consistently on the rear inner side.

I've had Yoko, Michelin and now Pirelli on my GTS. I liked the Yokos but when they were worn out I replaced them with Michelins based on my preference for their car tire. Currently on P Zeros which are not as sticky as the Yokos or Micheleins. If the price difference is greater than $75 a tire I'll go with Pielli, otherwise it's back to Michelins, perhaps Yokos.
Either way these tires will not last long due to weight of the pepper. And personally I like softer compound tires, more fun in hte dry and relatively cheap insurance in the wet if emerency stopping/ maneuvers are required.

I have Michelin Latitude Sports on both the GTS and CTT and find them to be perfect for me. I changed over from Pirelli P Zero Rosso which I think handled a little better but they were noisy, prone to flat-spotting and had poor tread life. I got about 35,000km out os a set of Pirellis and now get about 50,000km from the Michelins. I've had a combined total of three sets of Michelins between the two cars and am thoroughly happy with them.

I usually buy new or certified, which means I'm getting a car with new or almost new tires. Not one of them has ever been Michelin. So I have to wait till the original tires need replacing, then go Michelin. Beat the game this time however. I paid the Porsche dealer an extra $500 to replace the (factory) Contis with a set of Porsche-Approved (N1) Michelin Latitude Sport GreenX, before I even took possession. Worth every extra penny.
