I've only had the car (2003 4.5S) about 6 weeks, and it has spent half of that at the mechanic's having some overdue service work carried out.

But I've noticed that my rear windows do not fully lower. Both lower to about half way, and then stop. This happens whether I use the drivers door switch or the switch on the rear door.

I can't figure out why - it looks like some kind of safety feature (I don't have child locks enabled) but I can't figure out how to disable it, and the owners manual doesn't seem to mention it.

'06 S here, correct, rear windows only go down about 2/3 the way. Wonder if it's a limitation of the hump for the rear wheels.

Pretty sure that's all you get. Check the shape of the door. It can only open so far.

Ah, ok - thanks. Didn't occur to me to check the rear wheel arch wasn't in the way.

Porsche do come up with some strange designs!
