Default New NAV Data Disk...Hmmm.

So I enter a fellow Rennlist members address into the NAV system and it could not locate the street... Street has been in existence for 150yrs, runs parallel to Main Street...I found his home after two Uturns and thought to myself, wow some NAV system??? I got home called the stealer and asked if there was an NAV upgrade, this was before a RENN search..They said sure, for $300 plus tax... Car is still under warranty! Upgrades, bugs and fixes should be covered during the warranty period , right? WTF ~ BTW when you upgrade the data disk, are you also updating the PCM.. display resolution sucks...Ok I m done bit chin...

Map upgrades aren't included in your warranty, and they never have been as far as I know.

Typically, the map updates will also update your PCM firmware. This upgrade won't change the resolution.

Not sure if it's too late, but I got my upgrade DVD on ebay for $179. Worked perfectly and upgraded the system as well.

I have pictures and a link to the auction I got halfway through this thread:

Might want to post what revisions your system is currently running. Map data itself comes from NavTeq I think, Porsche doesn't create their own map data.
