Default Replacing Silver Trim With Gloss Black

I have a 2012 Cayenne S. It is black with the standard silver trim. I have been thinking about replacing the piece of silver trim on the bottom of the hatch back with a piece of gloss black trim.

Has anyone done this?

If so, how did you get the silver trim off? My thoughts are to heat it up with a hair dryer and peal it off.

You can get the gloss black trim from Suncoast, very inexpensive.

It looks great. My GTS is that way from the factory.

isn't the rear window trim really pricy because it comes with the glass?
