2013 Cayenne - Factory Installed Tow Package
On my 2013 CD, I had the factory installed trailer hitch package. I replaced the non-functional plug in the 7 pin recepticle with a Porsche 7-pin adaptor and tested the wire connections with a continuity tester. I was not able to get a reading for the positive 12 volt connection. I was able to see continuity across the right and left brake/stop connections. I tested the 12 volt with the vehicle off and running. I did not hook up a trailer during these tests but I used an electronic trailer emulator.
Is this normal? Do I need to have anything special "turned on" through PIWIS? It would seem if it comes from the factory, the system should be all setup for towing.

Did you ever solve your problem? I have the same problem on a 2013 CS. trailer lights and brakes have worked for 2+ years, but just realized I have no +12V-went thru 2 batteries due to lack of regular charging. Can not read 12 volts on proper (or any pin).
