Default The search for a GTS...

I have started my search for a nice example of a Cayenne GTS with a six speed manual. If any of you know of a good car on the market or are thinking of selling yours please let me know. I am looking at the normal autotrader, cars.com, pca and Porsche.

I looked at the Black/Black GTS 6 speed here in Dallas a couple weeks ago. It drove very well and was in quite good condition for sitting out on the lot for almost 2 months. Options were more on the spartan side, had a low clutch take up and smooth shifting and no curb rash on the wheels.

Clean carfax and low miles at something like 37k. Downside is that the dealer is a no haggle price type of deal.

Sorry, the GTS sold to a buyer in New York a week ago.

I bought a manual GTS back in October. When I was looking, amazingly enough Carmax had a handful of these. I drove one at Carmax in Charlotte and saw another one I was interested in that was located in Atlanta. You'd have to be somewhat careful as I didn't run into anyone at Carmax that knew anything about them.

Good luck with the search.

Good luck, you'll be very happy!

FYI on two items: I had an 08 and now an 09 GTS w/ a manual and PCM 3.0 is not that big of a deal over 2.1. However I highly recommend you hold out for PDCC. Not night and day level of difference, but definitely worth waiting on one if you're not in a hurry. The confidence level and fun factor boost up nicely in the twisties with less roll.

There's a white '08 6-speed here in Columbus not far from my place. I didn't drive it though cause I'm on the hunt for an '09 Auto GTS

I can go look at it closer if you would like.

I agree that the PDCC is really nice as I drove a TTS with it but I'm finding it nearly impossible to find in a GTS

08 gts black on black stick shift in Garland TX stock # 9007672

In the photos the controls for the air suspension are silver - I think this means it has the PDCC

that does not have PDCC, the sport buttons etc would need to be silver.

i would be looking more for full leather interior over most options; take a look at that one mt-sfo posted, plastic everywhere.

pdcc is tough, if it is there get it, but if everything else is there and you are missing prcc, go for the car. i had pdcc on my first turbo and i found it just deadened everything. anyway, don't want to get into the arguement about pdcc!

a Toronto dealor sold 2 fairly stripped ones late last year - one manual and 1 auto. i think they were both around $CDN 50k plus but can't quite remember.

they made 15,766 GTS 957's world wide and only 473 were manual & that is the world wide total of manuals.

i would guess there are just over 100 or so manuals in North america. as i mentioned on another thread, that head count is about as low as you can get in the world of porsche productions numbers for something that is not a race derivative.

I've been researching the GTS, TT and TTS a lot in preparation for buying one. I believe PDCC is tandard on all GTS's, TT's and TTS's. Did not know the 6-speed was so rare because I'm not looking for one. But, I do know of a nicely equipped red/black 09 GTS here in VA that has a 6-speed.

I'm in the same boat...I think PDCC is only standard on TTS. I've driven quite a few GTS's and TT that did NOT have the option. I search Manheim every day and there hasn't been a single PDCC equipped vehicle in months on there. Seems to me that it's much more rare in the GTS than I would have hoped, I did like the way it felt in the TTS. I just have a really hard time spending TTS money on a vehicle my wife will daily drive and I will only use to tow to track days.

Here is an image of that the suspension controls look like on PDCC equipped cars. All of the center buttons will be silver and it will say PDCC below them in small script.

Here are the controls for the standard air suspension for comparison:

PDCC isn't standard on TT and +1 on Cpa4S's comments regarding it.

That is the GTS I referred to in my post above. It drove quite well but was sparsely equipped.
