No small hands here. More troubling - there is no oil change history. I'm told they were done, but no documents. There's documentation for major repairs and minor repairs. Receipts for 2 sets of coils. The carden shaft has almost as many miles on it now as it did when replaced. Was the replacement Porsche part the same or improved? If the same, do they typically go at 40k mile intervals?

The replacement cardan shaft is an updated number, but the failure point (center support bearing rubber) doesn't look any different, so I would still expect it to fail at some point. 40k miles is pretty low for a cardan shaft failure. I usually see them go between 60k-100k.

Well - looks like this deal is dead. Between patchy maintenance records, 2.5 foot long dent in rocker, need for all rotors, paint work on bumper, and a couple other points - we are apart on price and I've decided to keep looking. This thread has enlightened me so it wasn't a wasted effort. Thanks to all.
