Default Cayenne 3.2 remap

Hi

I have had my Cayenne 3.2 (2004) for almost a year and I am still missing the extra power and should have gone for an S.

Other than the lack of power I love the car, it is very well specced with all the toys that I wanted.

I have read that you will get in the region of an extra 20BHP with a remap, what will this mean in every day driving terms and has anyone got any experience of having their 3.2 remapped.

Regards

Tan

You may not want to hear this but 20 hp will not make much if any noticeable difference. My advise is to sell it and get either an S or a turbo.

Thanks for the reply, don't really want to sell it, as the spec is spot on and I have just had the gearbox fixed which invariably would need to do again on an S or a Turbo.

So if that is the case then I will live with it until next change, when then I will go for a 958.

supercharge it. there are lots of VR6 supercahrger kits available out there for good money. otherwise, just buy a turbo, I bet you'll find one better specced out than your v6.

I have an old thread on this.... Electronics and sensors are too expensive for by passing to supercharge or turbo per interested manufacturer... Just take the update to a more powerful edition.

Yep, a supercharger is your only route to V8 power from a V6 P!G. If you can find a used kit, that would be a cost-effective way to go. If you are forced toward a new supercharger kit, however, it is gonna cost ~$5K plus install labor if you are unable or do not have time to DIY.....better to sell and buy a V8 in that case. Just my $.02...
