Default What is this? PLM

Hello all,

I purchased 2004 CTT over the summer. Pretty happy with the car so far. Had some vibration issues that i just fixed with new yokos and good roadforce balancing and an alignment. I noticed the following box when i installed the dension iphone box in the back. Didn't really pay attention but i have come to realize that this might be one of the lowering modules. A PLM i guess. But i don't know which one or what it does exactly. Probably lowers the car at all settings. I think i would like to get rid of it and come back to the oem. Anybody knows how to do this? I have unplugged it and it throws an error on the system. If someone is interested, i will sell it cheap.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Oops. Can't post pictures from the iphone so pics are next. The module is small and only says 'cayenne PLM' on it.

looks like it has to do with lowering the truck. does your CTT ride low?

I am not sure. I can still select every different modes. It seems to me that it is lower in the normal setting than the stock official porsche pictures. It is hard to tell though. Coming from various 911s I am not looking for a low/stiff ride, that's what the 911 is for. I am looking for comfort with the Cayenne. I changed the tires to 275/45/20 instead of the OEM with 40 sidewalls. I can only recommend doing it... it rides smoother and does affect any systems. I often times ride in the normal terrain mode with the shocks on comfort. Passed 50 mph it goes to normal height. I believe this is all normal and from what I read I am tempted to think this is one of those lowering modules that only lowers the truck at every settings.
I am trying to find out which module this is and how to turn it off or take it out. Not really sure I want to open the ECU. I will eventually, but would rather have some opinions first.

thanks for the help.

Ok, i removed the module. The car now sits higher in every position. Will post the module for sale soon and see if someone is interested in lowering their truck!

Thanks!
It is pretty sweet and the wheels play a big role. To be honest though, I think I'll continue to go back to everyting standard and sell the techart 20" wheels and tires to go to 19" and possibly 18"... I just want to be able to 'thrash' around in confort without being afraid to damage the wheels...
