Hi to all, this forum has been really helpfull so far
I just ordered a cayenne diesel for my wife who does a lot of driving commuting work and also we will use this SUV for long drives ( will let her 2009 x5 go) , I estimate at least 20k miles a year apx, the cost of diesel in this area (orlando) is about 10 cents above premium
so far got 3% off MRSP may get a little bit more
I ordered the suv on 10-16-12, built date set for december 2013
estimated delivery:end of december beginning of jan 2013
here are the specs
2013 cayenne diesel
exterior black
interior standard luxor beige
premium pack
lane change assist
sirius xm radio
porsche entry and drive
cayenne s III wheels with colored hub cover
ligth comfort pack
my CA told me I could replenish the adblue myself (I could find it it at pepboys/wallmart, and will not void the warranty) and that the oil changes will be every 5k miles instead of 10k like the gas version
another dealer told me that the full service for oil and adblue will be around 300-350.00
- has anyone replace the adblue ? ( I know is still early)
- where I can find the owners manual ?
- Did anyone got the pre paid maint for the diesel and does it covers the adblue?
thanks

Depending upon driving conditions, an AdBlue fill should be good for 15,000 miles. Some have said as much as 20,000 - but I've never seen that actually confirmed.
If you have a smart phone, there's a Porsche owner manual app.
But you might want to get a 2nd opinion on the oil change info you got. Gasoline Cayennes have a 10k oil change cycle. Not so the diesel and the hybrid. The car tells you when to change oil. Mine is currently telling me to change at 5000 miles, presumably a generic break-in period. Then not again until 20,000 miles. This assumes you use C30 spec oil and filter each time. If you can't find C30, it's the same as VW507.

My CD has 5000kms on it. When I picked up my car, I was shown how to replace Adblue (if I wanted to do it myself) and told it costs about $30. Cost, not a factor at all. Also, here in Canada the oil change interval for oil and Adblue is 15,000kms (call it 10,000 miles) and I was told it is 5,000 miles in the US because of your mix of biodiesel fuels. Not sure about accuracy of any of this, but this is what I was told by my repoutable dealer.

You can Google AdBlue and find a lot of info about where to buy etc. Many truck stops actually have AdBlue (or the equivalent) pumps for the truckers, which is the cheapest replacement. YouTube also has some video on AdBlue replacement for MB and VW. Porsche should be coming soon as owners make the replacement.

Besides the typical dealer high service charges, Adblue has an expiration date so included would be the additional cost of removing whatever is left in the tank. If emission testing is required it might be necessary to keep the Adblue fresh, but old stuff doesn't affect the performance. When the low level warning light comes on, buy some, as mentioned, at Walmart, Pep Boys, etc, or a truck stop.

regardless of low yearly mileage, change oil every year.
our X5 would have us do an oil change every two years or so, according to the service indicator, but there is usually a note somewhere, for low mileage drivers like us, to change yearly.
A look inside the oil cap is scary.
