Does the dashboard instrument light not turn on during the day? It doesn't seem to be on and I can't seem to find any way to adjust the brightness. I saw in the manual that the trip meter dial is supposed to change this, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any ideas?

I am not 100% sure but don't think the instrument panel lights come on unless the headlights come on which would only come during the day when the auto lights come on.
