Default Yet Another Fuel Pump Thread...

Late 05 CTT
Starts up fine, runs for about 5-15 seconds then dies...
I pulled fuse 14 truck runs fine. FML...

Guess im in the market for 2 fuel pumps...
However...
There's a few "upgrades" done to the vehicle so I'm wondering what the fuel flow is on the stock pumps as I'm tempted to do dual 255 Wally's
Has anyone attempted this ??

Is there a PDF or DIY on the fuel pump R&R ?

BTW the few mods are as follows...
APR R1 Diverters, IPD, Secondary Cat Deletes, 3" Exhaust and Custom Stage 2 tune.

Any help is appreciated...

Your mods are relatively mild and the stock pumps will run your CTT without issue. I have changed my pumps myself and I'll help you in anyway I can. I'll PM you my contact info if you would like and we can chat.

Thanks...
I'm not a newb when it comes to this as I'm a certified auto tech, but we don't have access to any Porsche data.
The main reason for asking about the Wally's is because I have a new pair chilling in my bottom drawer of my toolbox.

Search is your friend...

Also, are you aware of this site? http://www.renntech.org/forums/

RennTech tends to be more technical in nature and doesn't have the "banter" we have here so there's not as much activity. However to access the TSB's you need to be a member (of rennTech), well worth it IMHO.

Hey guys...
Done em today.
Ended up selling my Wally's to a co-worker and picked up a set of Aeromotive Stealth 340's ( 11140's )

Eliminated the jet pumps and wired them up however the positive is on the Black lead instead of the Red which i found out really quick when the truck did not want to start. A quick swap of the leads solved the problem. Also the intank filter was absolutely filthy and dont think the PO ever changed it.
Called the Stealer and overnighted one from Cali and should be here tomorrow AM. cleaned up the original one as best as i could with a toothbrush ( things we do to get our cars running again lol ) so at least i can start it and take it for a drive.

Initial impressions:
Slightly louder than stock with the covers off but once installed inaudible
These babies flow is severely restricted by the factory plumbing but capable of 680LPH and 90+ PSI !!
Tomorrow time for a rewire from the connector and relays for each pump as near 50 PSI will flow 300LPH and draw nearly 14A so a rewire is necessary.
