Default Erratic shifting

My 2006 S had very erratic shifting. Your typical valve body issue. I just got finished replacing the valve body and transmission control unit and I still have issues. Very hard downshifting from 6 to 4 and it feels like its slipping when I start out in 2nd.

The shifting issue was covered under a Factory service bulletin. Do a search on Renntch and you can find it... If I remember correctly it is a control module mapping issue.

Just had it coded at the dealer. Still no help. They seem to think its the harness. The part numbers he gave me are for the two harnesses inside the transmission.

I would be less likely to believe it to be a Harness...especially inside the transmission... But, I have been wrong before.

I have seen harnesss fail but they end up with trans fluid going through them and filling up the trans ecu,
Did you fill the trans correctly? It needs to be heated to operating temperature then cooled iirc its 90 then cooled to 60 then filled before it goes up more then 5 degrees. You really need to be able to see the actual value for the trans temperature. Also did you torque the valve body, did you torque it in the correct sequence?

I had this done awhile ago and it has been pretty smooth since then. I did hear that the fluid level needs to be exact as mr. firehawk mentioned and can cause issues if not done just so, that may be the issue.

I am experiencing harsh downshifts with poor rev-matching it seems... Wondering if it could be a harness thing as well? I have an updated valve body on the way.
