Your dealer should be able to do it (it will need to be programmed anyway). The only thing the cut is for is getting into the driver's door manually (if your battery is dead, for instance). Once it's programmed, the remote will unlock your door, and any key (cut or not) that's programmed to your vehicle will work in the ignition.
That's what dealer here said, they order their keys from Germany cut according to the VIN and then they program them here. They said to have the new key that I have cut by a locksmith and then bring it to them and they will program it.
